Sometimes when we are surrounded by darkness we become aware of details unnoticed in the broad light of day. Other senses are heightened. Smells become richer, the sense of touch becomes more significant, and very faint sounds can take on huge proportions. Standing in the Dark commemorates those times when we are required to hold our ground in the face of the unknown. In doing so we learn to transform our narrowness into un-imagined vistas of brilliance. Some quick lever changes. The piece moves slowly, but requires some precision and musicianship with contrapuntal lines. Intermediate /advanced lever or pedal harpists.
