Niel Gow, the prominent 18th century Scottish fiddler, composed some of the most beautiful and beloved airs. This anthem-like 4-minute piece is a tribute to his heart-melting melodies which soar with the curlews. But this tune has a slight modern modal twist, with a couple of lever changes from B to Bb and back again. With straight forward harmonies and a simple understated style, this piece is suitable for intermediate players. The last page entails a few arpeggios that might be a bit more of a challenge. Suitable for lever or pedal harp.
