From Scotland, with Love Laura plays love songs and lullabies on the Celtic harp on Friday, Feb. 17, at 7:00 pm at the HOME Center in Salem. Selections will include Gaelic songs for feasting, working, sleeping and loving. Original tunes as well. Love offering donations accepted.

"O’Carolan’s Harp” An Early Celtic New Year with The Oregon Renaissance Band and special guests Laura Zaerr, harp and Dan Stueber, bodhran. Fifteen of the northwest’s finest renaissance musicians will play a new program featuring some of Turlough O’Carolan’s best loved works along with other favorites performed on a wide selection of early instruments including harp, violin, viols, recorders, sackbutts, bagpipes, shawms, krummhorns, racketts, tartold, and percussion.

An evening of Celtic harp. Laura will focus on songs and dances from Ireland and Scotland. She will demonstrate the Medieval Gothic harp and bray harp, as the European counterpart to the ancient Irish wire strung harp. Carrying on into the modern age, you may just hear some original tunes and possibly some jazz.
